Two fair-dinkum blues acts will ride the rails on the Saturday evening of Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival 2018: an icon of the Australian blues scene for the past couple decades, Stringybark Mcdowell, with his partner in crime Molly CoddleCream, returns to BB&RMF and The Blues Tram, while one of the most exciting blues guitar young guns will dazzle our audience again – Charlie Bedford!

Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage W Class tram, while being serenaded by two great acts:

“Stringy & Molly”
Stringybark McDowell w/Molly Coddlecream:
Based in the S.A. Riverland Plains they draw their music from their harsh environment ,life and people they meet. Their 2nd CD together is a compilation of Stringy’s blues background fused with Molly’s song writing skills, culminating in an earthy vibe of spirit and “soul-fire”. Titled Dancing With The Dust Devils, they say it’s appropriate for the off-grid simple lifestyle they live.

Charlie Bedford:
Charlie Bedford is a 17-year-old blues guitarist & vocalist from Melbourne. Charlie performed at the “International Blues Challenge – Youth Showcase” in Memphis 2017 and 2018 representing the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society!
He has played with andbeen mentored by some of the biggest names in Australian Blues such as, Geoff Achison, Sweet Felicia, Jimi Hocking, Andrea Marr, Russell Morris and Lloyd Spiegel to name a few. Charlie is a fresh act on the festival scene, representing the next generation – keeping the blues alive! He’ll get your feet tapping and leave a smile on your face!
