Sixteen is a bit young to be accorded veteran status, but at that tender musical age Luke Harrington is already fronting up for his seventh Bendigo Blues & Roots Festival in 2017. “I grew up with music,” Luke says. “Mum (Jo. Woodward) is a regular on the gig circuit and so there was always music at home when I was little.” Luke cut his performing teeth supporting Mum on the Bendigo Blues & Roots stage in 2011 when just 11. This year marks festival number seven…the last 3 solo and Luke says he feels the growing confidence. “The crowds are always really supportive; there’s a great vibe about the whole city.” Luke has broadened his horizons, having penned 12 originals which were recorded by Mark Woods at his ‘Bald Hill’ music studio in 2015 to form his first Album; ‘The Journey’ Country / Folk / RnR
The Festival schedule for Luke Harrington will be available soon.
