Due to the growing popularity and success of the fund-raising events staged by Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival Inc. over the last year, which also acted as a sensational showcase for the great talent Bendigo is home to and which our region attracts, we are planning to do at least a couple more of these events in 2012, beginning with this one at the Rifle Brigade Hotel on Saturday April 14th.
The Rifle Brigade’s car park area will host band performances and provide a safe and relaxing space to enjoy great live blues & roots music. Further enriching the experience for those soaking up the atmosphere of Bendigo’s famous Arts Precinct on the day, top quality acts will also perform in front of the venue for everyone to enjoy.
This is an afternoon event, commencing at midday and the live music will wrap up around 8pm. As the Bendigo Blues & Roots Music Festival itself (staged in November) is a predominantly free-entry event, put together by a team of very motivated but time-poor volunteers, we need all the help we can get to fund this massive undertaking on an ongoing basis. So here’s your opportunity to be a part of making the Festival yours! It’s a very rewarding way to contribute to this truly grassroots event and to help further support and develop the live music scene in Central Victoria… all by paying a measly $10 to enjoy 15 great acts in one afternoon… it’s THAT easy.
So join the party and show your support, not only for our fledgling music festival, but for the growth and development music and arts in our region!
The line-up for this showcase includes: Mike Elrington, Bones Blackwood, Cactus Brothers Band, Dave Diprose, Blues Mountain, MTB, Aaron Wales, Talisa Jobe, Luke Owens, Liam Thorpe, Andrew Garlick, Zac Camm, the newly formed Bendigo Bank All-Star Band, Penelope Somerville & Josh Verco and Ben Gibbons Quintet!
