A genuinely bluesy ride awaits on our August 2017 Tram, as the amazing Matt Katsis makes his Blues Tram debut, as do the classy veterans Smith & Sheehan;

Enjoy the sights of Bendigo’s architecturally stunning CBD from on board the sensationally restored vintage W Class tram, while being suitably entertained by these two great acts:

Matt Katsis:
Melbourne singer/songwriter & guitarist Matt Katsis’ music ranges from delicate folk balladry to foot stomping down-home blues.
Those who have seen Matt live will recall his raw vocals and command of the acoustic guitar. Matched with a one-man-band approach to his performances through the use of percussive elements of the guitar, stomp box, tambourine and creating loop layers – this together has become the cornerstone of Matt’s live blend of blues, roots & folk-stirred music, which has been heard on numerous Australian stages and festival line-ups and at iconic venues.
Matt recently released and is currently touring his latest EP ‘As The River Runs’.

Smith & Sheehan:
Mark Smith & Marni Sheehan play rootsy blues, alt and vintage country, and originals featuring acoustic, dobro and electric guitars, mandolin, banjo and percussion. Their experience as performing musicians brings authenticity and depth to the material. Audiences enjoy the sparkle, humour and occasional dark moment this act offers.
Mark Smith has played in the Oz music scene for over 40 years and has a great love and talent as a blues player. Marni Sheehan’s musical background spans folk, blues, country music, rock and as a songwriter. She has released two albums of original songs Critters & Specimens (2004) and Inside Stories (2007). In 2015 Mark and Marni teamed up with Dave Sheehan and released an album – ‘Down in the Valley’, a collection of songs dealing with love, hate, sex, death, injustice and survival. They are planning a new album release as a duo with guests.
